Quincy Bay and Wollaston Beach put a real share of the city close enough to salt water that corrosion-resistant fasteners are worth spec'ing. Plenty of Quincy sits far enough inland that it never comes up. The code figures don't move either way. Quincy carries 40 psf of ground snow, five more than Braintree or Weymouth, with a 30 psf flat-roof minimum. Design wind is 121 mph ultimate and footings go below the 48-inch frost line. FEMA maps Zones A, AE, AO and VE across the city, including a riverine floodway sitting inside the coastal zone. The Quincy Conservation Commission reviews work within the state's 100-foot buffer zone or 200-foot riverfront area, under the city's own Wetlands Protection Ordinance as well as the state act.
Access

What the auger hits decides the footing rather than a standard depth does. Closer to Quincy Bay and Wollaston Beach the hardware changes too, because corrosion-resistant fasteners stop being optional within sight of salt water.
